A good pair of driving sunglasses needs to give you the flexibility to work in a wide range of driving conditions.
The driving glasses we sell have a range of interchangeable lenses to enhance your vision in different light levels.
All the lenses in these sunglasses are of superior optical quality, suitable for wearing for extended periods, and they have all passed British and European standards as being suitable for daytime driving. The models featured here are not to be used for night driving.
Polarized clip on sunglasses
Do you normally wear prescription glasses for driving?
If so, we recommend you consider the advantages of our spring-clip on sunglasses, which we believe are preferable to having a separate pair of prescription sunglasses for driving.
Simply clip the polarized tinted lenses onto your normal spectacles, whether they have metal, plastic or rimless frames, and single, bifocal, or varifocal lenses.
We sell the US-made Solarclips brand of superior quality spring-clip sunglasses, with a choice of grey or copper lenses optimised for driving in different light conditions.

Which lenses are best for driving?
On bright sunny days, you need maximum protection from the sun’s glare and from reflected light from the road and other cars. For most drivers, filter category 3 polarized anti-glare lenses are the best choice for these conditions.
Days or journeys on which the light levels keep changing can be particularly challenging and can present a hazard if you wear lenses that are too dark. For these conditions, we recommend filter category 2 lenses Amber, Beige, Mercury, or Copper. These tints help to increase contrast and depth of field.
In low light conditions, such as foggy weather or dull, wet weather where surface spray presents a visibility hazard, the best choice is filter category 1 yellow lenses. These lenses increase contrast and definition, helping you to see more clearly.
