Category 3 grey lenses
Category 3 grey lenses are ideal for general use in bright sunlight, softening the glare without distorting colour and vision.
Also termed “smoke”, these lenses will not improve contrast, clarity, or depth perception.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Category 4 grey lenses
Cat 4 lenses are for protecting your eyes from extremely bright conditions such as when trekking above the snow line. Light transmission is less than 10%. They are also good if your eyes are particularly sensitive to bright sunlight. These lenses will not improve contrast, clarity, or depth perception.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Cat 4 lenses should never be used for driving.
Polarized grey lenses
Polarized lenses improve contrast for safer, clearer vision in bright conditions. The polarized grey lenses in our store are filter category 3.
Polarization filters horizontal light waves reflected off flat surfaces such as a lake, snow, or wet roads, substantially reducing blinding glare and its resulting eyestrain.
This makes them useful for driving in bright sunlight, for sailing, and wherever reflection off water or snow is a problem.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Green lenses
Green lenses are normally filter category 3. They filter blue light and reduce glare.
Perfect for sunny conditions, the green filter is the golfer’s choice, allowing for greater definition between a white ball and the background. It will also help you to judge the tee to flag distance.

Because the lenses improve visual sharpness they are ideal for other precision outdoor sports such as tennis and cricket.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Blue mirror lenses
Blue mirror lenses are multi-coated to offer superior protection in conditions where strong glare is a problem, such as ski slopes or the midday sun.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.

Red mirror lenses
Red multi-coated mirror lenses provide protection from glare without making the lenses unnecessarily dark to look through.
The lenses process rays in the blue spectrum to enhance colour and focusing. You will find that general vision is sharper, brighter with increased contrast between colours.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.

Polarized brown lenses
Polarized brown lenses are the preferred choice for fishing as they filter out the glare off the water’s surface.
The polarized lenses in our store are filter category 2, which provides an ideal level of protection on moderately sunny days.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Amber lenses
Amber lenses absorb most of the blue and green wavelengths in sunlight that are the chief components of glare and haze. They enhance contrast and depth of field.
Amber lenses are normally filter category 2. This gives an intermediate level of protection for use in hazy or dull conditions. When you wear these lenses, everything will appear more vivid.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Light Amber lenses
The light amber lenses in our Body Specs range are in filter category 1. They absorb blue and green wavelengths in sunlight that are the chief components of glare and haze. They enhance contrast and depth of field, making them a popular choice for golf.
They are ideal for driving in dull conditions through to moderate sunshine and do not distort colours such as traffic lights.
When you wear these lenses, everything will appear more vivid.
The lenses provide 100% UV protection.
Yellow lenses
Yellow lenses are normally filter category 1. They filter blue light, which increases contrast and definition during tricky, low light conditions, such as early morning or when it is misty.
In addition to enhancing the light, they give improved depth perception. They provide 100% UV protection.
Clear lenses
Clear lenses (filter category 0) allow maximum light transmission without changing the value of colours. They are ideal for indoor sport and for cycling in the dark.
While the lenses are clear in their appearance they still provide 100% UV protection.
