Dixon Eyewear launch new 100% Fog Free prescription sports glasses

Fogging up of eyewear is one of the main frustrations experienced by sportsmen and product manufacturers have long been seeking effective ways to minimise it. Now Dixon Eyewear have introduced an innovative new lens technology for their popular TAC-Rx prescription sports glasses that they claim is 100% fog free.

TAC-Fog free sports glasses

Proved to be 100% fog free in testing

Dixon Eyewear have carried out their own tests on the lens and have produced a video demonstrating the results, which are impressive by any standards. They compared the performance of a standard lens with the new fog-free lens when subjected to rapid changes in temperature and relative humidity. The standard lens fogged up completely and stayed misted for at least 30 seconds before starting to clear. In dramatic contrast, the fog-free lens stayed completely clear throughout the test.

Eyewear Accessories carried out its own independent test of the standard TAC-Rx  and found that its anti-fogging properties were far superior to standard sports lenses. However, with the introduction of the new TAC-Fog Free, it appears that Dixon Eyewear have taken sports lens technology to a new level.

Ideal choice for skiing, cycling, running, mountain biking, or football

Dixon Eyewear are recommending the TAC-Fog Free as being ideal prescription sports glasses for skiing, cycling, running, mountain biking, football, or indeed any sporting application where misting up is an issue. The glasses are available with a choice of lenses, including photochromic (light-reacting), clear, or grey tinted.
