We are often asked by customers about the benefits of buying sunglasses with mirror lenses.
Most mirror lenses are intended for wearing in bright, sunny conditions. Take the Vermillion Revo mirror lenses on the SKI-1 and Pro-Lite sport sunglasses, for example. The lens coating consists of thin layers of titanium and silicon oxides which are applied and calibrated with great precision, which has the following benefits:
- eliminates up to 97% of infrared rays the chief component of glare
- processes rays in the blue spectrum to enhance colour and focusing
- filters out dangerous ultraviolet radiation from the sun giving 100% protection from harmful UVA & UVB.
You will find that general vision is sharper, brighter with increased contrast between colours.The lenses are great for reducing glare in winter sports, as well as for summer sports such as cycling and sailing.
