Too bright outside with the snow? Wear polarized sunglasses!

Wearing polarized clip on sunglasses virtually eliminates glare in bright snowy conditions

It comes as a surprise how dazzling it can be in the UK when there’s snow on the ground and bright sunshine overhead.

The human eye is sensitive to glare, and the low angle sun plus reflected light off the snow and ice, is enough to make most people start squinting. If you have sensitive eyes it can be really uncomfortable and it is a severe hazard to motorists, contributing to many road accidents each winter.

Help is at hand in the form of polarized sunglasses. I have been wearing these copper polarised clipons out and about in the sunny winter weather and have found that they make all the difference to copying with the extreme glare.

Without them I am squinting if I look anywhere in the direction of the sun and the brilliant white of the snow with the sun’s reflection gives me a headache.

Wearing the clipons I can go out and about comfortably without eye strain in these bright conditions.

Take a look at the range of polarized clip on sunglassses at clipon-sunglasses.co.uk. There are different shapes and sizes to fit most popular styles of glasses and a choice between filter cat 3 grey or brown tints or the lighter cat 2 copper shade.
