The video below explains how to change lenses on the Dixon RX2, TAC-3, TEPS, Aero-5, and SKI-1 sports glasses / goggles.
1. Unclip the foam gasket
Before removing the lenses, you first need to take off the soft foam gasket, if fitted. On most Dixon eyewear models this is clipped at both sides and at the nose bridge.
2. Unclip the Rx optical clip lenses
If you have an RX clip prescription lens fitted to your eyewear, you now need to remove it before you change the tinted lenses. Pull the two plastic retaining lugs on the Rx clip gently away from the frame. It may help to use the flat of a screwdriver to prise off the Rx clip, but do so with care!
3. Flex the eyewear frame to pop out the lenses
Grip the frame firmly at the top and bottom as shown, and flex the frame, while pushing the lens from below. This will pop the lens out from the front of the frame.
4. Insert each replacement lens
Insert the replacement tinted lens into the groove in each eye frame. On the RX TAC-3 you will find it easier to slot the outer edge in first.
5. Refit the gasket and Rx clip
Reverse the procedures described above to refit the foam gasket and Rx clip to your eyewear.
