Eyewear Accessories supplies the prescription sports eyewear in our store with lenses professionally manufactured to your specified optical requirements.
We work closely with a licensed optical laboratory in the UK with specialist experience of glazing prescription sports eyewear to ensure that your lenses meet your optical requirements correctly. You will find that our prescription lens services are offered at very competitive prices compared with high street opticians.
Will my prescription be suitable for sports eyewear?
Depending on the power of your prescription and the type of sports eyewear you are looking for, the optimum solution will either be fitting a corrective lens behind the sports lens, or in some cases the actual sports lens can be glazed.
For each model of prescription eyewear we give a general guideline as to the maximum power of prescription it will accept. However, for SPH values over + or - 8.0 and CYL values above + or - 3.0 it is always best to check first with us that your preferred model will be suitable for your prescription before ordering.

We can only process orders for prescription lenses if:
- We receive all the required information relating to your prescription at the point of order
- Your order is sent to us in writing by email or post - we cannot take prescription details over the phone
- Your prescription is less than 2 years old
- You are aged over 16 at the time of ordering
- Your prescription does not have prism components. If applicable, this would be shown after the lens power on your prescription as 2 (number) then a direction UP/DOWN/IN/OUT.
Eyewear Accessories will not be responsible for incorrectly made prescriptions where information has been wrongly supplied by a customer at the time you place your order for lenses with us.
Due to the unique nature of a custom made prescription lens, any prescription work undertaken cannot be credited and is exempt from our guarantee. Should the lenses we have supplied be faulty, the work will be made good.
If in doubt about the suitability of particular lenses or eyewear for your prescription, we advise getting the opinion of your eye doctor.
If you are unsure about the fit, styling, or suitability of a particular model of eyewear, we advise you to buy the non-prescription version first and then order the prescription lenses subsequently if you are happy with the eyewear. If you are not happy with the eyewear, you can return it to us for a refund subject to the terms of our Returns policy.
You can also order additional lenses for your eyewear online from this website, if for example, your prescription changes, or, in the case of the direct glaze models, you require a wider range of tints for different sports.
The lead time for prescription lenses is specified on our Delivery and Returns page.
