Scratch Pro Prescription golf glasses bring the benefits of high-performance golfing eyewear to spectacle wearers. Pro X Prescription is supplied with three interchangeable lenses for optimising your view of the ball in different light conditions.
It also has an RX adapter that can be fitted with prescription lenses up to SPH (Sphere) + or - 4.5 and CYL (Cylinder) + or - 2.0.
In front of your prescription lens sits an interchangeable sports lens and the kit includes green, beige polarized and yellow light enhancing tints. All offer 100% UVA / UVB protection, and conform to EN 1836 and US Z80.3 safety regulations.
The frames
The Pro X prescription sunglasses for golf are built around a matt-black finished frame that has an optical Rx clip housed in the back, whilst the tinted, interchangeable lenses sit on the front.
This two-part arrangement allows for great versatility and performance, whilst the stand-alone frame looks great too! The wrap-around styling blocks unwanted wind and light encroaching from the sides and bottom of your vision.
The frames are lightweight and tough, whilst the Rx clip, made from the almost indestructible TR90 material, ensures maximum protection for your eyes from impact.
The tinted lenses clip onto the top of the frames, allowing them to be flipped up for momentary normal vision when required.
De-centred and anti-scratch coated lenses
All Scratch sunglasses are de-centred, which removes the possible distorting effects of a curved lens. The anti-scratch coating greatly reduces the chances of damaging your lenses during normal usage.
What the kit includes
Pro X Prescription golf sunglasses come supplied as standard with the following:
- Category 1 (yellow) lenses. These remarkable lenses actually enhance light, making them perfect for use on cloudy, dull days or for those early morning starts / late finishes
- Category 2 (beige, polarised) lenses. A good all-rounder, useful in partial sunshine and fairly bright conditions. The polarised filter greatly reduces glare, which is caused by the sun’s rays bouncing off horizontal surfaces
- Category 3 (green, mirror-coated). Perfect for sunny conditions, the green filter allows for greater definition between the course background / sky and ball. It will also help you judge the tee to flag distance
- Sturdy carry case with belt clips and loops, a padded lining and internal compartments for spare lenses

Getting prescription lenses made
We recommend buying the sunglasses from us first to check that you are happy with the fit of the frames.
You can then get single, varifocal, or bifocal prescription lenses fitted into the detachable Rx lens adapter. Most high street opticians offer this service and it is also available cost effectively online, for example from Ciliary Blue. Details online at http://ciliaryblue.com/
