RX TAC-3 sports glasses / goggles provide excellent wind, sun, glare, and debris protection.
The detachable ultra-foam gasket seals the eye orbits to hug the inside of the ocular ridge, so the eyewear works like a goggle, providing a windproof seal, protecting your eyes from the elements.
Relief from watery eyes, dry eye syndrome and allergen irritation
We have had repeated feedback from customers who have found the RX TAC-3 helps to relieve the symptoms of dry eye syndrome (see customer comments below).
If you suffer from watery eyes, sensitivity to windy and dusty conditions, or eye irritation due to allergens such as pollen, wearing the RX TAC-3 with the gasket can provide effective relief.

Excellent build quality and comfort
RX TAC-3 is light and comfortable to wear, with soft touch frames. Yet this comfort is underpinned by a high build quality to military specification. The frames are constructed in light but strong TR-90 and the lenses are ballistic-rated, making the RX TAC-3 tough enough to stand the rigours of regular sports use.
All RX TAC-3 lenses are made from high quality ballistic-rated polycarbonate with an anti-scratch coating to improve durability.
All the lenses conform to the UV400 standard that provides 100% UV protection.
A particular feature is the advanced silicone hard coating that significantly reduces fogging up of the inner side of the lens during humid conditions or high-energy activities.

Mirror coated lenses add further protection from the sun’s glare without changing colour perception. We can supply filter cat 3 or cat 4 mirrored lenses.
Polarized lenses are good for driving, water sports, and fishing, because they significantly reduce glare from reflected water.
Photochromic lenses react to a combination of visible and UV light, darkening automatically from virtually clear indoors to around 20% light transmission in bright sunlight. This makes them a versatile choice for sports in variable light conditions throughout the year.
Light reacting lenses are a popular choice by bikers wearing open face helmets and kit car drivers. Photochromic lenses will not react if you are behind a windscreen or wearing a polycarbonate helmet visor, as these barriers will prevent the majority of UV light from penetrating.
Yellow lenses are good for outside sports in low light conditions, while Amber lenses are recommended for hazy conditions.
G-15 green is favoured by golfers, grass court tennis players, and cricketers because it increases contrast while maintaining colour balance, enabling them to distinguish more clearly between the ball in flight and the course, court, or pitch.

All lenses are made bespoke to order
Lenses for the RX TAC-3 are made specially to order whether prescription or Plano, so it can take up to 2 weeks from order to delivery.
Because all RX TAC-3 lenses are bespoke, they are exempt from our standard returns policy as we would be unable to recoup the manufacturing cost from our optical supplier.
You may wish to order the standard TAC-3 product which comes with smoke grey, yellow, and clear lenses while ordering RX TAC-3 lenses separately. That way you can simply clip in the RX TAC-3 lenses when you get them and also benefit from the standard lenses.
