If you have prescription sports eyewear fitted with Rx optical lens inserts, it is important to follow these simple procedures to keep them in optimum condition and prolong the life of the Rx clip.
Rx clips are made from CR39, a plastic which is not as durable as the polycarbonate in your the outer sports tinted lenses. Though it is protected from impact and scratching from the front by the sports lenses, care should be taken not to scratch the inside of the Rx lens.
We recommend that you unclip the Rx insert before changing the tinted lenses and when you want to clean the prescription lenses.

Cleaning your Rx lenses
Remove the Rx clip carefully from the frame and clean the lenses gently with a clean lens cloth. If necessary, use a little soap-free handwash to provide a perfect, clean finish to your lenses.
ALCOHOL BASED SOLUTIONS WILL DESTROY AN RX CLIP. We will not cover warranty on any Rx clips that have been cleaned with alcohol or other spirit-based solutions.
Most insect repellents are made up using a chemical solution called Deet. This is extremely harmful to plastics, and there is a good chance that it will completely destroy your sunglasses if it comes into contact with them. We strongly advise users of our eyewear not to use Deet-based repellents and sport sunglasses at the same time. We will not provide replacement parts under warranty where they have been damaged by Deet-based products.
